May 2022 Stats and June 2022 Goals

Writer's picture: Little Literary MomentsLittle Literary Moments

Greetings, bookish friends! I’m writing my May stats post from a little bit of a staycation. I didn’t leave town, but I did rent a cabin and leave my work phone at work for a few days. I definitely needed this break, especially after the last few weeks, and it gave me time to read, craft, and nap! Three of my favorite things! So, without further ado, let’s get to what I read in May!

# of Books Read: 7

Favorite Book of the Month: The Final Revival of Opal & Nev by Dawnie Walton (I totally called this in last month’s wrap-up post)

# of Books DNF’d (at least for now: 2

And how about those June goals?

Well, first off, just like last month, I am ABSOLUTELY PUMPED to be reading this month’s #readwithllm book - Girl, Woman, Other by Bernadine Evaristo. If you’ve read my post about books I want to finish this year (you can read it here), you’ll know I technically started this book once. But it was when I was studying for the bar exam, and this masterpiece deserves a whole lot more attention than I could give it when I first tried to read it.

I’m also starting the #20booksofsummer. You can find my whole list of books here, but I think I’ll start with James Baldwin’s Another Country.
