Hello bookish friends! I'm posting on a Monday today (weird for me) and I'm posting a kind of post I haven't made in a while - my upcoming reading goals! Like I've mentioned previously, I'm slowly working my way out of a reading slump, and I'm using this post as a way of honoring that ongoing journey.
This is a (tentative) TBR for June with the explanations for why I've picked each book. Will I get to all of these? Probs not (and that's okay)! I'm just glad to be reading again because I've truly missed it more than I can articulate. What books are on your June TBR? Share below!
My June picks:
Tarot Readathon
Okay, so I saw Noelle7Pages post about the Tarot Readathon that she is co-hosting and I absolutely LOVE this idea. I haven't done the official signup to join a team because I'm honestly not sure how much reading I'll actually get done as I try to get into the habit again. BUT I've downloaded their prompt page and whipped out my tarot cards to try to pick a few books from my overflowing physical TBR. These are the books I got (according to the corresponding cards I picked).
Card: The Moon
Book: The Siren Queen* by Nghi Vo
Card: Judgment
Book: Against the Loveless World by Susan Abulhawa
Card: 5 of Cups
Book: Wandering Souls by Cecile Pin
I absolutely love this idea (I am a novice - but enthusiastic - tarot girlie and am obsessed with this combination of my two obsessions) and even though I'm not officially participating, I think I'm gonna try to use this as a TBR generator in the next few months.
